This song came in my spirit yesterday,
Legacy Nashville ‘Eyes on You’
It is so easy to get distracted by challenges we face day to day, with different priorities taking over our lives.
But this song reminds us to fix our eyes on Him.
Regardless of what we are struggling with:
Anxiety, Fear, and Depression are liars!
Psalm 27:1: The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
We see the wars and chaos going around us, but our only answer is to trust in Him.
Matthew 6:10 “reminds us to let God’s kingdom come, and His will be done”.
We must put Him first and let God have preeminence.
We can often get stuck into religion and church-inanity
The same routines.
Mindful of the words in Luke 14:10, that we should ‘go up higher’.
God is calling us to come back to our first love.
2 Chronicles 7: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”.
We can see the signs of the times.
We must seek God’s face daily.
Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you”.
It is not a time to be ‘stuck on the fence’ or procrastinating.
Revelation 3:15 speaks of the Lukewarm church.
Now it is the time to arise:
Ephesians 6:14-17: “Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God“.
God is calling us to intercede, to go deeper.
To pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)
Be a soldier ready for battle.
Be on fire for God
May we keep growing in grace.
Step into the calling and promises God has for your life.
If ever a time, it is now!
PRAYER
Thank you Lord for your wisdom & discernment,
Forgive us again today,
Thank you for your mercy,
Thank you Lord that your promises still stand,
Great is your Faithfulness,
Thank you for Holy Spirit,
I pray that we shall worship you in spirit and in truth (John 4:24),
Remove fear, anxiety and depression,
Let your church arise,
Let us pray without ceasing,
We continue to pray for the nations,
We continue to pray for our families,
Let us put you at the centre,
We continue to pray for the lost,
Let us fix our old routines,
Remove the idols,
Remove the distractions,
Soften our hearts again,
Let us remain humble,
Make us on fire for you,
Prepare us for war,
Let us war in the spirit,
Let us grow deeper,
Let us climb higher,
Use us as your vessel,
Heal us , shape us and transform us,
Renew our hearts and our minds,
Help us to fulfil the promises you have us,
We give you thanks, we give you praise,
In your precious Holy Name,
Amen.
